DC Kinder School

educational_assistanceThe Daughters of Charity Kinder School were given permission in 1998 to operate the school by the Phatthalung Provincial Office of Education.  In 2005 the Office for National Education Standard and Quality Assessment (Public Organization) an independent agency (สมช) that conducts an assessment every five years made its first assessment of the DC Kinder School.  In the same year it was announced that the DC Kinder School passed all the requirements and is considered as an institution that provides standard and quality education.

The goal of the DC Kinder School:  The holistic development of young children through integrated education that will contribute to their well being and that of society as well as the establishment of income generating scheme to support the sisters and their apostolates.

Most of the children who are studying at the DC Kinder School come from working families whose social and economic condition is considered to be in the bracket of the average middle class.  Some parents are professional and degree holders, some are government officials and others are small traders.  Most of the children come from Buddhist families.  Some families need assistance in terms of psycho-emotional support due to family problems.  Over and above they consider the DC Kinder School as a good learning center where their children receivequality education.  For the Sisters the school is a venue for pastoral and evangelization activities, as well as inter-faith collaboration.
