MINISTRY TO WOMEN DRUG ADDICTS

CBR for HIV and AIDS
Patients and Families

The ministry for women who are drug women
addicts
started last year, 2004, during the feast of St. Vincent.  The women during that time were touched with the activities given to them that they requested their superior for the presence of the Sisters.  The Seton Community responded positively and  would go to the Center every Sunday to talk to the girls, give value formation and teach basic English language.  These activities were carried out for some months and had to stop because of the coming and going of the women in the Center as well as the lack of personnel on the part of the Sisters to work regularly with them.

For the year 2005, on the feast of St. Vincent de Paul, the Sisters spent time to celebrate it with the 35 women at the Center.  The activities were simple but had more impact on the women.  The sisters introduced themselves, share about who St. Vincent is, the Daughters of Charity and their works focusing on the apostolate of the Sisters in Khon Kaen.  The day was ended with gift- giving and singing of songs that touched their lives and sharing words of hope for the future.
