Community Based program for 
HIV/AIDS Patients and their
Families is giving services to 3 districts in the province of Khon Kaen namely: Manchakhiri, Prayun, and Ban Haed. The program provides services to 116 families and classified as follows:
- 176 adults
- 7 children
- 118 orphans
Realities in these 3 districts are:
- The ages of the patients ranges from 6 years old to 33 years old
- Most patients have worked in Bangkok as construction workers
- There are those that are gay, hospitality workers and drug addicts
- Men are mostly the carrier and they transmitted the disease to the women
- Orphans are being taken cared of by the grandparents
Activities:
- Regular home visitation to every patients
- Giving counseling to patients or to members of the family
- Organized seminar for the villagers and students regarding the issue of HIV/AIDS, the causes and prevention (5 times a year)
- Supplementary Income Generating Project to 16 families on catfish raising, frog raising, crickets raising and picture molding
- Provided educational assistance to 7 orphaned children
- Supplementary feeding to 37 patients who are either children and/or sickly parents
- Socialization for all the patients and their families with the objective of getting together to have a close contact with one another that they be a means of support to each other. 200 joined in the Christmas and New Year Party Celebration where blankets and goodies were distributed as gifts.
- Seminar for the HIV/AIDS patients on self-care and value formation (2 times)
- Referrals to the hospital and other institutions
- Coordinating to other NGO’s and GO’s
