This is generally a Community Based Project but with a Temporary Shelter for children with HIV and AIDS who are in a very difficult situation.  People living with HIV and AIDS and their dependents have improved access to community based care, counseling, proper education and other basic necessities of daily living.  The capacity to support HIV and AIDS prevention program has improved by advocate involvement of the religious leaders – parish priests, Sisters, the Buddhist monks and villages’ leaders.

The goal of the program:  The quality of life of the people living with HIV and AIDS and their families is improved and HIV infection rates are reduced by enhancing works of prevention.

ACTIVITIES:

• Home Visit: done the whole year (three times a week)
• Training/Seminar on HIV/AIDS prevention to the village leaders, elderly, youth
• Life Skills Building Camp for HIV/AIDS patients and children
• Celebration of World AIDS Day
• Staff Training
• Operation of the Children’s Temporary Shelter
• Networking with the GO’s and NGO’s: done the whole year
• Small income generating projects: done the whole year by those who need
• Monthly training of children with HIV and AIDS by the hospital staff
• Assistance to orphaned children in their basic needs especially on education:  as needs arise
• Regular meetings to coordinate and improve community based services
• Periodic evaluation of the project.
